- Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication data provided during sign-up via OAuth.
- Property Analysis Data: Property addresses, prices, and financial inputs you submit for analysis. This data is stored to power your dashboard and deal history.
- Usage Data: Number of analyses run, features accessed, and interaction patterns used to improve the Service.
- Payment Information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — we never store full card numbers or CVV codes.
- Preferences: Investment preferences you configure (price range, target states, property types) to personalize your experience.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the DealScout AI platform.
- Generate AI-powered property analyses and deal scores.
- Process subscription payments and manage billing.
- Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts).
- Personalize your deal feed based on your investment preferences.
- Enforce usage limits and subscription plan terms.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your property analysis data for advertising purposes.
3. Data Sharing
We share your information only with:
- Stripe: For payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
- OpenAI: Property details you submit are sent to OpenAI's API to generate investment analysis narratives. OpenAI does not use API data to train their models per their API usage policy.
- HUD API: Zip codes are sent to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's public API to retrieve Fair Market Rent data.
- Service Providers: Infrastructure and hosting providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data and property analyses for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
Aggregated, anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for product improvement purposes.
5. Cookies and Tracking
DealScout AI uses session cookies for authentication purposes. These cookies are essential for the Service to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure session management, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.
